“Customize this leaflet for YOUR area”
Associates: We are pleased to provide this leaflet to you in a format that can be customized for your specific area. Please follow the following guidelines – If you are in a very small town with a population around 500 and in a rural area then you should use the name of your county – such as Harris County. If you are in a large metropolitan area than use the suburb you are in unless you are actually in that city. For example, if you live in Chicago then use either Chicago or the greater neighborhood area you are in. But if you are in Wheaton (a suburb/city outside but touching Chicago) then use Wheaton. In other words in largely populated areas be specific with the name. But if you are in a tiny town in a rural area than you do not want to be too specific with the name as it makes organizing efforts appear more isolated. If you have any questions just ask.
Also, this leaflet is designed in a tract type format and is specifically directed toward those who may be apprehensive about reading it in the first place. There are two pages to the leaflet. You will need to print side one – flip over in you printer – and then print side two. Follow all the instructions below regarding how to distribute.

It is our desire to build leaders. Leadership comes in many different forms. Leaders may be speakers, organizers, literature distributors, etc. But in the end, leaders are just everyday people who share a vision and work to achieve it. An older brother or sister can be a leader to their younger siblings. A husband or wife can lead their unbelieving spouse to Christ. Leadership is leading by example. But it is also leading by doing. It means taking the initiative. You may be a leader where you work and you support The Knights financially. You may be a leader of your peers and you talk to them about concerns you have about the nation – and they listen – not necessarily agree – but they do listen. There are many ways to lead and we want to develop leaders.
It is too bad that men and women who care about racial integrity are so often unable to publicly stand up and say so. That is why we have public spokesmen at HQ who can speak on our behalf.
But it remains a team effort. One of the best ways to help The Knights grow is through the consistent use of media campaigns. Media campaigns don’t happen over night. They take effort over the long run, but they are ………..
VERY IMPORTANT!
Media campaigns can be organized by one person, a family, or a few associates in an area and are always done in conjunction with HQ.
What to DO
You must get to know the area in which you live. Whether it is a small town of a few hundred or a very large city, as a Knights’ Party associate, you should make every effort to learn some facts about where you call home.
We have provided a form for you to follow in PDF format. You should begin filling out this form. Keep a copy for yourself and send one to HQ. Information you will want to find out will include such things as the racial demographics of your area, local industry types, names of elected officials, news media, school names and officials there. etc. You will want to get names, addresses, phone numbers, and fax numbers. The PDF form will guide you in where and how to get this information.
Start a File on your area. The form you have filled out and researched will be the basis of your file. You will want to include the following types of things in your file:
Issue Topics – These include homosexuality (gay marriage, adoption by queers, domestic benefits) etc. Education (Gay student clubs, integration efforts, propaganda programs at schools,) etc. Illegal Immigration (crimes, cost, employers of illegals, ordinances in regard to,) etc. Hate Crimes against whites, Sex crimes, etc. These are just a few of the topics that could be considered. Check our Party platform for more ideas. It could be Free Trade with China and if its causing problems in the local job market – make it an issue for your file.
Keep newspaper clippings or info from the web that deals with each of these issues on a local basis.
Media Contacts – including Television, Radio, newspaper (including daily and weekly papers and specialty newspapers)
Choose 25 locations in your city. It doesn’t matter if there are 1000 in your town or 8 million. Pick 25 locations based upon the form you have already researched for and filled out. These would include:
The Mayor’s office
City Council office
Sheriff’s office
A few local schools
Your local news media
Fire Dept.
Any Public Aid depts.
Those orgs. in opposition to us
If you live in a large city, you may want to double it to 50, but you are still going to use just 25 at a time.
Keep a box of #10 envelopes (regular business size) with your “file” and address your envelopes – try to use a typewriter or computer if possible – to your 25 chosen locations. Do NOT use a return address – the postmark will indicate to the recipient that it is coming from a local place. You may want to address envelopes for a month at a time. Keep it businesslike and don’t add slogans, cartoons, or stickers to the envelope. You can however use a red envelope from a office supply store – these are more expensive though and not required.
Keep a current telephone book of your area and at random choose 20 names and addresses from the phone book. Use 10 names of residential addresses and 10 names of business addresses. If you can tell from your phone book – that perhaps is broken down into neighborhoods that an area is non-white – skip it. If you send something to a non-white household by accident- no worries – but don’t intentionally seek out non-white businesses or residences. We aren’t trying to reach them.
Leaflets: Sometimes leaflets seem to get old to members, but you must consider that reporters – whether they are newspaper, television, radio, or web news – probably haven’t seen the same leaflets you have. You must remember that leaflets that are mailed to the media aren’t sent for the purpose of recruiting the reporter – its not about them. They may agree with a few points – they may not. The focus of sending a leaflet to the media should be as simple as letting them know that someone – or the group that you represent – has the same opinion as is expressed in the leaflet. The purpose of sending a leaflet to the media is to catch their attention. You want to let them know that The Knights is in that particular area and that we are organizing. This can be accomplished by sending them a leaflet. At the national office we have over 50 professionally designed and written leaflets for this purpose. Topics range from gun rights to the evils of euthanasia. (You can also download many of these here at our members’ site) It doesn’t really matter which of the leaflets you send – just as long as they are sent. But you do want to send a different leaflet each week. Use the contacts at the media that you have in your file as the recipient of these leaflets. In larger cities there will be many different reporters who are assigned to different subject matters. You will want to find out who the reporters are that cover stories on the race issue. Even if the leaflet you send is about a matter which may not be considered “racial”, the fact that the leaflet is coming from a racialist organization means that you should try if at all possible to send your leaflet to that particular reporter who covers those stories. In smaller towns, the same reporter might cover race and the local high school’s basketball game. So it won’t matter here as much as to finding out the exact person to get it to.
After you have established that there is Knights’ Party activity in the area – you can begin paying closer attention to local issues and begin addressing those issues with leaflets or press releases about the particular issue in question with coordination from HQ. However, the “generic” leaflets should still continue to be sent. This will establish the certainty in the medias’ mind that there is in fact long term activity in the area and not just a ‘fly by night’ instance of activity.
Don’t Give Up. As we just mentioned, you want to continue your activity and not quit after a few mailings. Often times news departments will ignore this “activity” until there is something in the news that they can tie it in with. The establishment of local activity is what is important here and this means that it needs to continue.
Local Issues: As we mentioned previously you will want to stay informed of local issues in your area. This includes keeping informed of issues that attract the most attention from the media. Because we live in a time when racial issues or discussions are often volatile – these are considered hot button items. Keep your newspaper clippings in your folder and after you have established with the media that there is Knights’ Party activity in the area you will want to begin weighing in on these hot button topics. It could be as simple as a headline story in your local paper or the lead story on your nightly news about a city council vote on race relations or a council meeting on how to curb the hiring of illegal immigrants in the city. The media, we must remember, is in the business of making money. If no one watches the news or buys the paper then they are out of business. They look for sensational stories and if they have been getting leaflets from the local KKK group (or single person/family – the media has no idea as to the number of people locally active) then they know automatically that input from The Knights’ Party will add to the readership or viewers of their news item. While there may be some new reporters fresh out of college who don’t quite understand – and for their own personal reasons – decide not to report on the Klan’s input on a particular news item – most seasoned reporters know that an opinion by the Klan will boost their ratings. Now is the time to begin addressing those local issues. They will want to know what we think about such and such issue.
Localize the issue. Okay, so you have your file and you have studied your area, you know who the key figures are, folks in the area have been getting Knights’ party literature for a while (even if a few each week – the news will spread and no one will know that it was just 10 leaflets here or 25 leaflets there – plus people have a tendency to exaggerate so magically those 25 leaflets end up being 1000 leaflets) You will then contact HQ with information about your local issue. Contact our media campaign department mediacampaign@theknightsparty.com and we will begin coordinating press releases with more specific leaflets about the local issue. This will result in a confirmed status of local activity which may be reported in the news. Interviews with HQ will help bring focus to the local issue and then this will help bring focus to the national origin of the cause of the problem issue in your area.
When we are ignored. Sometimes a reporter or more likely the editor or person in charge of story assignments will decide that the best move is to ignore the press releases and leaflets. This should not discourage you.
First off we can’t be ignored for ever – we NEVER are!
Reporters and news editors often switch in and out of the local media markets so it may just be a problem with one individual at the paper or news station.
There are always slow news days and The Knights is a sure way to boost news coverage.
And as we just said, but want to really get you to understand is that WE ARE NEVER IGNORED FOREVER! Sometimes its all about timing – and we MUST be persistent.
Your activity Report. We want to know what you are doing so that we can report on it. Your activity will help to encourage others – so please keep us informed of your local activity and progress.
Keep it simple. Fill your file, send the leaflets, watch the local issues, notify HQ mediacampaign@theknightsparty.com and keep doing it. Don’t forget if you have children of any age to get them involved clipping articles, addressing envelopes, putting stamps on the envelopes, folding leaflets, etc. You are teaching your children a valuable lesson about persistent Christian activism. This in itself is worth all your effort even if the media never made a single mention of activity in the area! Remember that all of America used to believe like we do, but the reason they don’t now is because parents neglected their responsibility!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
